SLO Counseling Clinic Staff

In the past few years, the SLO Counseling Service Clinic at Cal Poly has served about 170 clients, roughly half of whom are students and half residents. The program runs with a very limited budget and currently has no financial support for the graduate students. These students, despite the lack of financial support, have shown remarkable dedication, often working long hours seeing clients and completing schoolwork. Their achievements are a testament to their commitment and the need for financial assistance.

The counseling clinic, despite its financial constraints, has been instrumental in providing mental health services to the community. It has helped individuals overcome their mental health challenges and has contributed to the overall well-being of the community.

Having been operational for over 40 years, the SLO Counseling Service Clinic at Cal Poly remains one of the few county resources providing low-cost and free mental health services, significantly impacting the community. If you would like to help support the SLO Counseling Service and make a donation, please contact Dr. Kelly Moreno at  kmoreno@calpoly.edu and Dr. Susana A. López at slopeza@calpoly.edu.
